Expanding Resources Through Research Visits, Boosting Overseas Expansion via Government-Enterprise Collaboration | Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce Leads Our Association for Inspections at Nansha Cross-border Trade Cluster, Go-Global Service Center and Jinpeng Footwear

Introduction

To precisely meet the overseas expansion demands of Guangzhou enterprises, deepen government-enterprise coordination, integrate cross-border trade resources and empower local firms to roll out global layouts, Chen Li, Director of the Liaison Department of Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce, Li Ming, Second-level Researcher, and Yan Renfei, Third-level Researcher, led a delegation on May 14. They were accompanied by Wang Wei, Executive Secretary-General, Zhou Jinxin, Full-time Deputy Secretary-General and staff members of our association. The group conducted field investigations and exchange forums successively at the Global Cross-border Trade Industrial Cluster, China Enterprises Go-Global Comprehensive Service Center and Guangzhou Jinpeng Footwear Co., Ltd., building multi-party cooperation bridges linking government, chambers and enterprises.

Stop 1 | Global Cross-border Trade Industrial Cluster

The research group visited the Global Cross-border Trade Industrial Cluster and held in-depth exchanges with Luo Jianzhong, Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of Nansha District Party Committee and Party Secretary of Nansha Federation of Industry and Commerce, Zhong Jiou, Deputy Secretary-General of Nansha Federation of Industry and Commerce, as well as Zhang Lin, Director of Zhongke Huizhi (Guangdong) Information Technology Co., Ltd., and his team.

Both sides discussed topics including the industrial ecosystem of cross-border trade in Nansha, the digital foreign trade service system, policy support for enterprises going global, cross-border resource matching and coordinated development of industrial chains. They focused on exploring ways to leverage Nansha’s geographical and policy strengths, cooperate with chamber of commerce platforms, and deliver one-stop support covering cross-border trade, market expansion and compliance services for Guangzhou enterprises expanding overseas, so as to help them seize new opportunities in global trade.

Stop 2 | China Enterprises Go-Global Comprehensive Service Center

Afterwards, the research group paid a visit to the China Enterprises Go-Global Comprehensive Service Center and was warmly received by Assistant Director Zeng Yuyang and the team of the Enterprise Service Department. During the forum, the two sides had in-depth communication on policy coordination for overseas-oriented enterprises, international market development, risk prevention and control, as well as the linkage mechanism of government and chamber services. They exchanged working ideas and service experience, and reached a consensus to strengthen resource sharing and complementary services. The two parties will connect the whole chain of policy implementation, enterprise service and resource matching, so as to provide targeted and efficient comprehensive service support for Guangzhou enterprises going global.

Stop 3 | Guangzhou Jinpeng Footwear Co., Ltd.

Lastly, the research team visited Guangzhou Jinpeng Footwear Co., Ltd. and was warmly received by Zhu Chengjin, Vice President of Hong Kong Footwear Association and Chairman of Jinpeng Footwear. The team learned on-site about the company’s production and operation status, overseas market layout, brand globalization and foreign trade business development, and carefully listened to the company’s development demands and practical difficulties in overseas expansion.

This field visit has further smoothed government-enterprise communication channels, clarified the service orientation of the cross-border trade industry, and deepened collaborative ties between the chamber of commerce, government departments, industrial platforms and overseas-oriented enterprises. Going forward, Guangzhou Chamber of Commerce for Enterprises Going Global will continue to leverage its service strengths, integrate resources from governments, industries and industrial platforms, and empower member enterprises in a targeted manner. It will help more Guangzhou-based private enterprises expand steadily overseas and connect with global industrial chains, injecting strong impetus into the high-quality development of Guangzhou’s private economy.
